Jeremy Nicholas has resigned as match day announcer after 16 years. He was asked to take a 60 per cent pay cut to save costs, so in the circumstances it seems Mr Moon had no choice but to leave the stadium. Can't imagine he was on big bucks anyway, so it seems a very shortsighted move by the club. You'll be missed Jem.

What a shame - I liked Jeremy pre and half time at the match, and always gave an enthusiastic account of himself. More to the point, he was a Hammer.
Perchance there is room for Carlton Cole back at the club after all, now there is a new opening?
Or maybe they'll get Razvan Rat to do it as he's already had a spell in the ticket office! No way to treat Jeremy after 16 years…
