Irons take China

Hot off the Blackberry from full-timer Mike in Beijing:

"Horrible stadium. Great big running track around the pitch. About 90 degrees and cloudy, sweating like pig just sitting here. Full strength Spurs on pitch. Hammers not so much warming up but heating up !!

1-0 to the north London slags. Defensive error, shame as we were defending so well. Most expensive loss I've ever watched !!"

"But at least the money you spent to watch it didn't go into White Hart lane…" comments Jo.

And later…

"It was hopeless. Cole up front on his own, we didn't have one strike on target. Boa Morte will be out for a year with cruciate damage, just when he was looking useful.. Zola will have to find money or sell someone fast..."

George Davis (and West Ham) is innocent, OK?

Buried among the Ashes heroics and some old geezer almost winning the Open, was the news that the latest Premier League and FA inquiry into the Tevez affair has found us innocent of any further wrongdoing.

Referring to Tevez's last three games for West Ham, a statement read: "The inquiry has concluded that, on the basis of the evidence available to them, there is no prima facie case that West Ham United and/or its officials did commit any further breaches of Premier League or FA rules immediately after the independent disciplinary commission's decision."

So does this mean Sheffield United will give us our money back?
