Avram for Old Trafford?
So no mention of Avram Grant or Glenn Roeder in the running for the Man United job? Clearly almost losing to West Ham at Upton Park has made Fergie realise his time is up…

When Fergie took over at Man Utd in November 1986, John Lyall was our manager. Can you believe that? Since then we have had no less than 15 managers. They are a mixed bunch. Look it up. Through gritted teeth I congratulate Man Utd for not jumping on the managerial merry-go-round.
Pete one more thing. From your choice of adverts you clearly believe Hammers fans are in need of help in attracting women. Instead of Philippine brides and mature ladies perhaps you should advertise Brazilian or German brides so our offspring have a better chance of enhancing the West Ham youth team?

John Lyall manager and this was our team http://www.11v11.com/matches/arsenal-v-west-ham-united-08-november-1986-88241/
Actually there have been 15 managerial changes. Kevin Keen has had several fill in roles, as has Trevor B.
I could only name 6 of the 1986 team.

Good idea Richard - though it's Google which chooses the adverts. You never know, a mature lady from Basildon might produce the next James Tomkins...
