The
Guardian reports that after today's board meeting no decision will be made on Sam Allardyce's future until another board meeting in ten days time. Wonder if the Davids are waiting to see how season ticket sales go… or is Sam is being sent on a ten-day crash course to learn the West Ham Way?

GOOD
they dont want to pay the compensation its obvious, cant see season ticket sales being good, its another fine mess !
Should only sack Allardyce if they have a better option for Manager. Poyet, Mackay, Hughton, Sherwood are not any improvement! It would take a foreign Manager at least a year to get a settled side playing "the West Ham way." Big Sam might not play the most attractive football at the moment, but we will stay up with him at the helm. We played better football under Avram Grant and Glen Roeder and look where that got us!
Probably an unpopular view but on the face of it Big Sam hasn't done that badly during his time at West Ham. Got promoted to Premier League at first time of asking - not many sides have managed that, the Championship is a very tough division to get out of. I think some fans would be more tolerant of the 'football' played if Big Sam would just shut his cakehole now and again and try to be less arrogant with his comments, he hasn't helped himself. Still, if a decent replacement was available we should certainly explore it as I don't think we'll ever progress under Allardyce.
Good point about Sam's comments Anonymous, I don't have a problem with his results, staying up was always the goal, as we could have suffered second season syndrome and ended back in the Championship. But if BFS sounded less arrogant and claimed to understand the traditions of WHU, the fans might have stayed onside.
