He's indestructible…
Clearly Big Sam has read my blog this morning. West Ham have signed Carlton Cole on an 18-month deal which gives us cover up front for Carroll and any new strikers, and indeed the prospect of playing Carlton alongside them. Cole has put himself in a good bargaining position through scoring four goals since his comeback. He's finally looking fit and at 30 should have another couple of years left at the top. Welcome home CC.

Good news, now we just have to keep Rav, sign another forward and get everyone fit. Speaking of which, we've also signed a new head of sports medicine, after the departure of the previous geezer. Wonder what that is all about? Our injuries have been proper rascal, but then that's a problem going back at least to the Curbishley years...
Yes, sports science hasn't been working… Trevor Brooking was once told to put a hot potato down his cycling shorts for a groin problem. Maybe that will work…
