Come on you Lions…

Thanks to Matt and Lisa for revealing that Andy Carroll has just tweeted a picture of two lions being walked on the beach where he is presumably still warm weather training. His tweet reads: "2 lions being walked like dogs on the beach 50 yards away from me! #waytooclose." Could well be a possible addition to the history of bizarre West Ham injuries. Can already see those "West Ham striker mauled by lions" headlines… Stand well back, Andy!

West Ham have today confirmed they are appealing to the FA after Any Carroll was banned for four matches after appearing to elbow a lion in the face whilst on an extended warm weather training break during his current three match ban.

The club insist that their mane striker was only trying to regain his balance after being mauled by the so called King of the Jungle and that the latest ban had left their player feline victimised.

Despite roaring back up the league table in recent weeks the club are still perilously close to the relegation places and are desperate to get their record signing off the savannah back on to the grass of the Boleyn Ground before the imminent move to the Boris Johnson Arena in nearby Stratford.

Chico 'Cowardly Lion' Floes was unavailable for comment.

It will probably the closest he'll get to having "three lions on his shirt" for a while ;)
