LVG talks balls
Some quite magnificent winding up of Louis Van Gaal by Big Sam. These small teams that come to Upton Park trying to sneak a point through direct football are invariably a bit paranoid about their methods. Now Van Gaal is protesting rather too much with his Prozone stats. LVG devoted most of today's press conference to distributing a dodgy dossier proving that Man United only played 67.6 per cent balls before Fellaini came on and then 100 per cent balls after the 72nd minute. And he seems to be measuring "long and forward passes" from West Ham which in my book doesn't mean a long ball. Having reeled LVG in, Sam Allardyce must be having a hearty chuckle.
