El Mago
So we've signed El Mago ("The Wizard") otherwise known as Luis Jiminez, from Inter Milan on a year's loan. The Harry Potter wannabe sounds promising and has to be better than Di Michele and Tristan. He's 25 and was the Chilean player of the year in 2006, has scored regularly in Serie B and you can't see Inter signing too many bad players. Just as long as he doesn't disappear for a year like our last Chilean signing, Javier Margas, he should be fine…

It is also being reported/rumoured we are about to re-sign Lucas Neill on a one-year deal, something I would welcome. We would then arguably just need one further signing, a 20-goal a year forward...
Although Specs starred in the USA's win over Spain. Still, would welcome Neill back on a reduced package. Jiminez scored one in four in Serie B so should be good for a few goals. Maybe we'll go for Michael Owen as he'd fit into our treatment room with some ease...
