How to get a result at Forest?

Something better change, as the Stranglers once sang. After the Arsenal match West Ham have to get a reaction at Forest. I'd bring in Mavropanos for Zouma, who appears only half-fit and consider recalling Ogbonna too. A big problem is that without Paqueta we don't have anyone who can play on the left of midfield. Ben Johnson looked lost there so Moyes could either stick Ward-Prowse out wide with a brief to get crosses in or give Cornet a chance.

Phillips has played three games now so must be getting fitter, so we could play Phillips and Alvarez as twin defensive midfielders to shield the defence. Perhaps Soucek should be rested and used as an impact sub. While there could also be a case for playing Kudus wide on the right and bringing in Danny Ings in a number ten role behind Bowen. The options are limited with such a small squad, but Moyes has to try something different.

Sadly, Moyes is one of those obdurate types who is never wrong or willing to be wrong. Sign of deep-lying insecurity the psychologists might suggest?

He will 'stick to his guns' as far as possible and the team that ended the game at Arsenal will largely be the one that starts at Forest.

Sullivan needs to show some fortitude and allow Steidten to be a Director of Football and get a coach ( not a manager ) that is in step with him and a long term strategy for the club.

How long can Moyse hide behind a cup win in Europe which any Premiership side could have achieved and top half finishes in the Prem.despite playing some of the worst football I have ever seen?
The man is, in football terms, a complete dinosaur. Our latest defeat, no, humiliation, against Arsenal showed everything that’s wrong with his approach. Set- up not to lose, despite two wins against the Gunners this season, there was nothing he could do to change anything or motivate anyone. Phillips coming on at 0 - 4 down must’ve wondered what on earth he was doing playing for this shambles of a side.
Moyse has to go if things are to change - it’s as simple as that. How our board can’t see that I can’t imagine.
It’s like Moyse not seeing that poor Zouma is finished as a Premiership player!!

Give over! We've been down this road before, Zola, Grant,Pellegrini, it's about 1) getting enough points to stay in the league 2) making a dart for top 6 or 7....without Russian money or Arab money..that's it....

If Moyes gets the blame for losing on Sunday he also has to get some praise for beating Arsenal twice. There's a lot of confirmation bias from his detractors every time WHU lose. Yes he can be over-defensive but on the other hand Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen in the side offers flair too and there's more than one way of playing. As MJ says sixth or seventh is about as good as we'll do without a mega-rich owner and Moyes has achieved a lot. Spurs couldn't win the Europa Conference and it won't be easy for Villa, so let's see if any side could win it. And Moyes also got us to a Europa League semi-final. If we played like Sunday every week then he should go - but let's assess Moyes over the season not one result.
