Matt Taylor reaches for the stars

See Dr Matt Taylor has successfully landed a probe on the comet 67/P. Presumably he left West Ham because it wasn't rocket science launching the ball towards Andy Carroll…

  1. And he had to apologise for wearing a dodgy shirt. Very West Ham. Jimmy Walker would have pointed out he was having himself.

And can you name the former Hammer who actually was a rocket scientist? (Well, sort of)

  4. Well done. Dowie doesn't actually have a degree in rocket science but he does have a Masters degree in mechanical engineering, and when he was working at British Aerospace, and playing part time, he had to sign the Official Secrets Act.
Also, Shaka Hislop earned a scholarship to play college football at Howard University in Washington DC, interned at NASA and graduated with honours with a degree in mechanical engineering, if the internet is to be believed.

  5. Which would explain why Dowie's shots always had an upwards trajectory…
