Bentley crocked
David Bentley is out for six months after a keyhole operation revealed he needed surgery on his knee. A blow, as his crosses could have provided the ammunition for our team of giants. But also another opportunity for Julien 'Gustave' Faubert... who has been one of our better performers of late.

Sadly he is out for the season, before we ever saw what he could really do. Just a shame there is no emergency loan we could make of a top-class attacking player currently disaffected with his club who might want to return to a ground where he was appreciated and had some success...
Disaster strikes! Andy D'Urso is the ref tomorrow. And if that wasn't bad enough, I have lost my voice, so won't be able to give him my usual helpful advice and feedback. Perhaps I should make some placards?

I hear Manchester City have some decent reserves...
It is London Cocktail Week. Do you the Central is taking part?
And what would be the ideal West Ham cocktail? A Vodka Martini Allen? Sure that would have bite...
